Ubuntu 11.10 on Archos 43 Internet Tablet
After a fairly successful run of Ubuntu 11.10 on the HP TouchPad, I decided to try it out on my Archos 43 tablet. This is pretty similar to my previous 11.04 video, except that I now have screen rotation working, rootfs on internal memory, Ubuntu 11.10 (actually used the HP TouchPadBuntu rootfs from BodenM as I couldn't get rootstock to build one properly), and it now detects the device's MAC address properly. As you can see, Bluetooth and WiFi are working perfectly in this release and I had no issues with my Rii Mini Keyboard this time around. The only problem is that when I dropped to a shell (CTRL+ALT+F#) the keyboard occasionally sticks. USB charging is working as well. It runs LibreOffice, Firefox, and most other applications very well. I have VLC Media Player working as well (few tweaks needed to get audio working, but after enabling the headphones and/or speaker audio works pretty well).
